WHAT WE DO
The Recovery Project wants to change the narrative of the public health crisis that is addiction in our country.
By being of service to artists--who both need support and create the stories that form our understanding of the world—and the general public, we hope to shatter the stigma of asking for assistance, thereby saving lives.
The Recovery Project believes that the arts will play a leading role in erasing the stigma of addiction, as creative exploration of complex issues can create positive change.
In just eighteen months the Recovery Project has been a significant voice in the national conversation on substance use conditions.

Warm Line
We are partnering with LightShare, an organization focused on creating affordable and transformative support for those with addiction disorders, to establish a 'warm line' for artists in the Sarasota/Manatee area. Artists facing challenges will be connected with healthcare professionals and subsequently linked to a peer-to-peer network of sober artists to assist them on their journey toward recovery.
